Tubing At Mountain High Resort in Southern California

The North Pole Tubing Park at Mountain High Resort is a quick ride away from Los Angeles and Orange County. Since it’s only about a 1 1/2 hour drive from the coast, this is one of those rare spots where you could easily go surfing in the ocean in the morning and snow tubing in the mountains in the afternoon.

The weekend we were in town there wasn’t that much snow still on the ground, so it was a little muddy. But that didn’t stop the kids from having a blast!

They loved lounging in the tubes while we waited in line. (Note: They limit the number of people per hour, so it’s best to make a reservation. We found it was still quite crowded, so be prepared to wait at the top of the hill.)

There are ten lanes to tube down with a moving carpet on either side of the lanes to transport you up and down the hill.

This was a great way to spend the morning of our last day on the mountain. A nice rest from all the skiing and yet, still enjoying all the winter fun!

Children must be at least 36 inches tall to ride. Kids 36-42″ get $5 off with a paying adult. Tubes are included in the ticket price. Parking is a separate $10. As of the writing of this article, times and prices are:

8:30AM – 10:00AM $25
10:15AM – 12:15PM $30
12:30PM – 2:30PM $30
2:45PM – 4:45PM $30
